  • Glucose Meter

The Glucose Meter measures blood sugar (glucose) levels. This is ideal for daily monitoring of diabetics’ blood sugar levels and during consultations.

The Electronic Stethoscope provides clear and precise heart and lung auscultation. The remote care provider(s) can listen to the stethoscope over the video and audio call during a consultation.

  • USB Macro Camera

The USB Macro Camera allows for close-up examinations of wounds or injuries. The USB Macro Camera can be used in both live video examination and still-image capture.

  • USB Otoscope

The USB Otoscope facilitates remote ear, nose and throat examinations by a remote care provider. The USB Otoscope allows for high-definition live video and still image capture.

  • Small Rugged Carry Case

  • Software

Information gathered from the medical devices is displayed on a dashboard, which is shown to the patient and shared with the remote care giver on their computer or tablet screen. The dashboard information can be streamed live or gathered prior to getting the remote care giver online. In addition to the dashboard, the participants can communicate via “secure” video, text messaging or voice and can share files such as photographs, medical scripts, instructions, etc.

All communication is encrypted using National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) approved 256-bit AES encryption, which ensures security and confidentiality resulting in the software being fully HIPAA compliant.

Self-Managed Independent Care

Patients can use a pre-configured kit for at-home for on-going treatment plans.  Physicians connect with the patients using HIPAA-compliant secure video conference tool for face-to-face appointments as needed. Doctor can remotely access kit to walk the patient through the use of each telemedicine device using the video-conferencing application.

Reduce Risk of
Exposure for Patients

Using digiMed Standard Telemedicine Kits, care providers and hospitals can provide patients with convenient and accessible care at home, including appointments, post-operative checkups, and video conferencing with physicians. This helps to reduce the number of trips that patients have to make to busy healthcare settings.

Real-Time
Specialist Care

Using our secure Doctor Consult Web Portal, physicians can connect with specialists for real-time virtual consultations. And due to recent changes in the expansion of telehealth coverage, these consultations may be billable for the specialist. Instead of taking days or weeks to get a specialist's diagnosis, it can be taken care of during the patient’s appointment.

Real Case Scenarios

digiMed bridges the gap between those who don’t have access to care and the medical community.

Mobile healthcare units:

  • Deliver healthcare to vulnerable members of society.
  • Develop trust within communities
  • Bring care to areas affected by natural disasters.
  • Assist communities during and after crises.

 Scenario 1: Remote Ultrasound

Using the Doctor Consult application, specialists can collaborate with doctors using the kit's built-in ultrasound device. Care providers examine patients in remote locations and securely share video, images and measurements for a complete exam and diagnosis. Doctors in remote parts of Africa used this technique, connecting with specialist at a central location to triage COVID-19 patients determining if they needed a hospital transport.

 Scenario 2: Ophthalmologist

Using a USB Fundoscope device connected to the Five Plus® Telemedicine Kit, a care provider connect remotely with an opthamologist who is viewing and capturing the images using a Doctor Consult application. This expedites the examination and diagnosis of a potential problem and avoids having the patient from traveling to another location for the examination.

Telemedicine kits are becoming indispensable tools for home healthcare providers, particularly during transition care medical examinations (TCMs). While the initial TCM is conducted by a physician who generates revenue from the service, the telemedicine kit significantly benefits home healthcare providers by expediting patient registration for their care services. With a nurse or medical assistant deploying the kit, patients can be quickly evaluated and connected with a physician, ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are completed more efficiently. This faster onboarding process allows home healthcare providers to register more patients in less time, helping them deliver care sooner and grow their services efficiently. The ability to “bring the doctor” to the patient through a telemedicine kit is invaluable in initiating care seamlessly. Once patients are on board, home healthcare providers can continue leveraging telemedicine technology to improve how they deliver services. The kits enable nurses and medical assistants to perform follow-up visits, diagnostics, and real-time consultations without requiring patients to leave their homes. This capability allows providers to optimize their schedules and visit more patients daily, all while maintaining a high standard of care. The efficiency gained means better coverage, smarter use of resources, and happier patients. Beyond efficiency, telemedicine kits help providers build stronger connections with their patients by making care more accessible and personalized. Providers can quickly respond to emerging health concerns, adjust care plans, and ensure ongoing monitoring—all from the patient’s home. This not only leads to better patient outcomes but also boosts the provider’s reputation for being reliable and innovative. By facilitating the registration of more patients and enhancing care once they are onboarded, telemedicine kits are powerful tools that enable home healthcare providers to expand their reach, improve operational efficiency, and thrive in an increasingly competitive market. In a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, telemedicine kits are revolutionizing how home healthcare providers deliver care, enabling faster patient onboarding, enhanced service delivery, and stronger connections with patients. By integrating this indispensable technology, providers can streamline operations, improve patient outcomes, and position themselves as leaders in care innovation. Don’t miss the opportunity to elevate your home healthcare services. Explore how telemedicine kits can help you expand your reach, optimize your resources, and deliver exceptional care.
